How the Halti Headcollar works
The Halti Headcollar fits around the nose and behind the ears, with the lead clipped under the chin. When your dog pulls, their head is gently turned back towards you, and where the head goes the body follows. It gives strong control of big dogs with very little effort, which is why our dog walkers use them.
Getting your dog used to it
- Let your dog sniff it and reward them, then slip the noseband on for a second and treat. Build up over a few days.
- Keep the lead slack and never let your dog run to the end of it while wearing a headcollar.
- Use it with a standard lead or a Halti double-ended lead clipped to a collar or harness too.
Choosing a size
Check the size guide for your breed, and measure around the nose just below the eyes. The noseband should be snug but allow you to fit a finger underneath.
