Divine Raw sells raw dog food as food for working dogs. Our raw meals, raw chews and bones come from Birmingham Raw and NAKEDDOG, whose ranges are made and sold as working dog food, and we deliver them frozen across Worcestershire.
Who our raw food is for
Our raw food is for dogs kept and trained to work – for example working sheepdogs of any breed, gun dogs, racing greyhounds and assistance dogs. It is the dog’s work that counts, not its breed.
VAT on our products
- 0% VAT: raw working dog food – Birmingham Raw rolls, minces and variety boxes; NAKEDDOG Original, Superfoods, working puppy and PURE 80/10/10 meals; NAKEDDOG cold pressed; and raw chews and bones (fresh or frozen meat, bone and offal).
- 20% VAT: dried treats, bone broths, the PetEat small-dog range, Halti and other Company of Animals products.
Food held out for sale for working dogs is zero-rated under HMRC VAT Notice 701/15 (section 6.4); pet food is standard-rated. We label, describe and sell our raw food only as working dog food, and every VAT rate is shown on your invoice.

When you place an order you tick to agree to our terms and conditions. By doing so you confirm that the raw food in your order is to feed a working dog. If you are buying for a dog that isn’t a working dog, please contact us before ordering and we’ll let you know the price including VAT.
How much does a working dog need?
Working dogs often need 3% to 3.5% of their ideal body weight a day. A 25kg working spaniel or collie on 3% needs about 750g a day, or around 11 to 12 rolls of 454g a week. Use our raw dog food calculator and pick “working or very active”.

When you place an order you tick to agree to our terms, which includes confirming that the raw food in your order is to feed a working dog.
